Sourcing

A buy board, rebuilt every night

Every under-market car in your state across dealer stock, private listings including Facebook Marketplace, and Pickles and Manheim lots, ranked by conviction rather than the raw discount.
  • Estimated margin after reconditioning, and how sure we are of it, on every row
  • Private ads valued against the dealer market, so the margin is what you’d retail it for WA only measured currently
  • Price drops, days listed and distance from your yard
  • Facebook ads flagged when the seller says it’s a write-off
  • Filters you can save, a shortlist with stages and notes, PPSR on any car with a full VIN

Sourcing in Cards view, filters open: SUVs in WA, best buys first, dealer stock and private listings side by side. Sellers’ names are blurred here.

One car, and the whole case for it

Open any car and you get the verdict, the margin and the evidence behind it: every comparable of the same variant across the odometer, sold and still listed, with our curve through them.

Write-offs flagged on Facebook

WA only measured currently

597live Marketplace ads flagged as written off

Private sellers often say it in the ad. We read every Marketplace description and flag write-offs (WOVR and statutory), accident damage, engine faults and cars sold as is. The flag sits on the car with the seller’s own words, and you can filter them in or out. It’s what the seller wrote, not a register check, so a car with no flag isn’t cleared.

Salvage auction watch

17,591VINs seen through salvage sales since 27 August

We keep every car that goes through Pickles salvage sales, and Manheim’s since 8 September. Type a VIN into an appraisal and it’s checked against them for free, before you spend anything on a paid lookup. A car we’ve seen at a salvage sale gets a red “Sold at salvage auction” box on its page, next to the PPSR check. No match means we haven’t seen it at those sales, not that it’s clean. Try it free on any VIN.

Appraisal

Value the car in front of you

Look up the plate or VIN, or build the car from the catalogue. You get a pay-between range from your own margin rules and days-to-sell target, the comparables behind it, and a customer copy without your margin on it.
  • Plate and VIN lookup, or pick the build
  • A free VIN check against salvage auctions before any paid lookup
  • Photos taken on your phone, guided shot by shot, straight into the appraisal
  • Margin bands, reconditioning and rounding set per yard
  • Every appraisal tracked to bought or walked, so you see how it went

Your price, on the market’s own chart

Every comparable of the variant sits on one chart, sold and still listed, with our curve running through them. Your margins shade the buy range across it, so before you make the offer you can see where this car sits and how many like it are at or under the top of that range.

The working reads down the side: the value off the curve, your margin and deductions, the range. Nothing to take on trust.

Start at the desk, take the photos on your phone

Scan the code on the appraisal, or send it to your phone, and the camera opens on the first shot. It walks you round the car: front, rear, both sides, odometer, interior, then any extras. Photos save on the phone first and upload when there’s signal, and they land on the desk as you go.

Your pricing rules

Your margins, on every price we recommend

Set your purchase price rules once and every appraisal’s pay-between range and every auction lot’s maximum bid is worked out from them, with the working shown line by line. Change a rule and the next price follows it.
Purchase price rules: margin by price band, days-to-sell uplift and modifiers such as reconditioning and no service history
Example Motors' rules: 18% on a car worth $20,000 to $40,000, more past a 45-day target, $500 off for reconditioning.
  • A base margin for each price band, your numbers, as many bands as you like
  • Extra margin when a car is expected to sit past your days-to-sell target, stepped or linear, with a cap
  • Modifiers you switch on: a reconditioning allowance, no service history, above-average kilometres and more
  • Set per dealership, so every buyer on the team prices to the same rules

Honest by design

A number you can check, or no number

Every value in the app comes with its confidence and the cars behind it. Where the data can’t support a figure, we say so.

Confidence on every value

A rating on every figure, from how many comparables there are and how closely they match.

No value under 10 comparables

A car without enough evidence shows no value rather than a guess.

“Not enough sales”

Sales rates are held back where too few cars have sold to say.

One value per car

The same figure, to the dollar, on every screen it appears.

Questions

Frequently asked

How long does onboarding take?

It starts with a 30-minute call, then we link your login to your dealership by hand. If we already monitor your website, your stock is in the app the moment you're approved and it's valued every night, so there's nothing to type in or upload. From there you set your purchase price rules and invite your staff.

My dealership already uses MotorMetrics. How do I get in?

Ask your manager to send you an invite from the app. Your login is then linked to your dealership straight away, with the rooftops you work at, so there's no need to request access yourself.

Does it work on a phone on the yard floor?

Yes. Home, Inventory, Sourcing (including the one-car-at-a-time swipe view), car pages, auction lots, appraisals and Compare all work on a phone. Lists turn into cards and the menu folds into one button at the top. A few wide tables, like the Market terminal, still read best on a bigger screen.

Can I export my inventory data?

Yes. Inventory has an Export CSV button that downloads the cars in your current view with your ask, your target, our market value, days on lot, confidence and your notes.

Is my stock data shared with other dealers?

Cars you advertise are public market data, so other dealers on the app can see them, along with our value and the yard stats we work out from them. You see theirs the same way. Your target prices, notes, purchase price rules, appraisals, shortlists and saved filters stay inside your dealership's account.

How often are my cars revalued?

Every night. The market evidence is rebuilt after midnight Perth time, then your advertised stock is revalued, so you see last night's market. A car with fewer than 10 comparable vehicles gets no value rather than a guess.

See it on your own stock

Book a 30-minute demo and we’ll pull up your yard. If we already monitor your website, your cars are in the app the moment you’re approved.

Early access for dealers and data partners. We onboard by hand, and your first 14 days are free.
